Gospel singer/songwriter Steve Green made his start in the gospel industry during the mid-'70s, singing backup vocals and playing bass with Sandi Patti, White Heart, and the Gaither Vocal Band. By the early '80s, he had gained a solo contract with Sparrow Records, and his self-titled debut album appeared in 1984. Earning Grammy nominations and winning Dove Awards, he averaged more than one album per year well into the 2010s, with Spanish-language recordings (such as 1987's Tienen Que Saber) and Christmas albums (1987's Joy to the World! and 1996's First Noel) added to his usual repertoire. In addition to his solo work, Green also concentrated on videos and James Dobson's Focus on the Family as part of his musical ministry.
Green stayed with Sparrow until 2010, when he started releasing music on his own Steve Green Ministries label. Read Full Biography
