Hard-rocking East Coasters Sterling started the '80s with City Kids, a flashy retrograde ramrod featuring a track called "Robosexual." After this less than auspicious beginning, lead voxman Michael Kehr dragged his drumming brother Steve out of the band and, with another brother Don, formed Urgent. Although (or perhaps because) the motley masterminds Ian Hunter and Mick Ronson had Urgent jumping through the proper hoops, neither of this outfit's albums caught fire. All involved fell victim to the musical time warp of the '80s.
