The Sonic Dolls were one of the only major poppy punk bands in Europe in the '90s, offering an alternative to America's more prominent scene. But as the genre grew in the continent throughout the decade, the Sonic Dolls gained more exposure and eventually gained an American album release with 2002's Riot at the Sheep Dog Trials.
