Randy Constan parlayed his lifelong obsession with Peter Pan into worldwide Internet notoriety. After several appearances on late-night television, he even released his own CD. The son of a toy designer, Constan was born and raised in New York City. He first discovered the story of Peter Pan as a small child, and the fable never loosened its grip on his imagination. After falling into the New York alternative club scene in search of his identity, Constan began dressing as a pixie, complete with pudding-bowl haircut, tunic, and tights. He eventually married and settled in Tampa, FL, but his unusual fashion preferences remained intact. After divorcing in late 2000, Constan created Peter Pan's Home Page at www.pixyland.org, posting pictures of himself in full Never-Never Land regalia. Word spread quickly throughout the Internet, and within six months the site received in excess of half a million visitors. In 2001, Pixyland.org won two Webby Awards for the "Weirdest" site, topping both the judges' and People's Choice polls. As his fame spread, Constan also appeared on television's Late Night with Conan O'Brien and The Jimmy Kimmel Show, and in the fall of 2005 issued I Won't Grow Up!, a collection of original synth pop songs inspired by the Peter Pan mythos.
