Swiss punks QL are a fun-spirited cover band that debuted to Top Ten success in 2004 with the album Heimatschutz and maintained their success over the years that followed. Founded in 2001 in Biel, Switzerland, the band is comprised of Pät (bass, vocals), Stämpf (guitar, vocals), Sägi (guitar), and Tosi (drums). They made their full-length album debut in 2004 with Heimatschutz, a Swiss German dialect collection of covers performed in a punk style. Produced by Christoph Beyerlein, the album was a big hit, peaking at number six on the Swiss albums chart and spending six weeks straight in the Top Ten. Heimatschutz spawned the hit song "Ewigi Liäbi" and remains a fan favorite.
