UK pop band formed by Jim Diamond (b. 28 September 1953, Glasgow, Scotland; vocals), Tony Hymas (keyboards) and Simon Phillips (b. 6 February 1957, England; drums). Their debut album included the single "I Won't Let You Down", which initially failed to chart. Convinced that the band had potential an extra push from WEA Records was put behind the record and finally it paid off when the single reached number 3 in the UK charts in 1982 and repeated its success in Europe. However, they found life hard afterwards with their second and final album, which did not sell as well. The trio went their separate ways, with Diamond signing a solo recording contract with A&M Records and enjoying further chart success.
