Leader of one of Puerto Rico's most famous orchestras during the 1930s and early '40s, Pedro Flores also wrote several of the best-loved anthems by Puerto Rican and Cuban artists, including the legendary bolero "Perdón," "Amor Perdido," "Obsesion," and "Despedida." His songs have been performed most often by Johnny Rodriguez, Beny More, Daniel Santos, Los Panchos, Celia Cruz, and Maria Luisa Landin.
