One of the important composers of Brazilian soul, Paulo Zdan was Cassiano's main partner with hits like "A Lua e Eu" (1976, having been included on the O Grito soap opera on TV Globo) and "Coleção" (1977), both recorded by Cassiano. He also had his "Quero um Baby Seu" recorded by Caetano Veloso. Zdan started his career in the mid-'70s penning songs with Cassiano and later joining Brylho. With the dissolution of the group in 1985, he tried a solo career with a single with the originals "Impulso e Desejo" and "Paranóia."
