The premature demise of Oswaldo Nunes prevented him from gaining wider recognition. His first album, Oba (1962), contained "Oba," one of his biggest hits, which became the anthem of the Carnival bloco Bafo de Onça. His other albums were Tá Tudo Aí (1969), Você Me Chamou (1971), and Ai, Que Vontade (1978). Other hits are: "Segura Esse Samba Ogunhê," "Voltei," and "Levanta a Cabeça."
