Singer Nila Cara specialized in French repertory, making her Parisian debut in 1942 at the Boite l'Aiglon. Her preference was for dramatic songs, which tied in with her aspirations as an actress. Cara appeared in two movies made in France during the early '40s, Paradis Perdu (aka Four Flights to Love) (1940) and L'Homme de Londres (aka The London Man) (1943).
