As hip-hop began to enter the mainstream in the early 80s, there were many businessmen from the black community, whose previous association with music had been in R&B and soul, prepared to take advantage. One such was Danny Robinson, just as had his brother Bobby at Enjoy Records. He reopened his Holiday label to record the Nice And Nasty Three’s ‘Ultimate Rap’ in 1980. He had previously enjoyed success on the imprint with the Bop Chords and others. The Nice And Nasty single, however, proved to be one of the rap’s earliest aesthetic victories, though it was never followed-up.
