This Australian outfit (aka the Indelible Murtceps) were the alter-ego of the Melbourne group Spectrum, one of Australia’s most innovative, experimental bands. Formed in 1971, it allowed the members of Spectrum to sufficiently finance the mother group by performing as a dance band. This ‘prostitution of their art’ spawned the singles ‘We Are Indelible’ and ‘Indelible Shuffle’, and an album on the Harvest Records label. These up-tempo, lighter songs were all original Mike Rudd material. The bands co-existed for 12 months before both were disbanded.
