b. Canada. After studying medicine for a year and then law, Kash decided to become a performer and completed a drama course. He worked in several radio stations as a broadcaster in Canada but decided to relocate to England in 1955. Kash spent many years promoting country music in the UK, working as a radio presenter and compère. He has had series on the BBC and Radio Luxembourg and was seen regularly on UK television throughout the 50s and 60s. He is married to the singer and comedy actress Libby Morris (b. Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada) and both their vocal talents were featured in the cult television puppet series Space Patrol. Kash wrote one of the first country books to be published in the UK, Murray Kash’s Book Of Country. He worked for promoter Mervyn Conn for some years and was the Festival Director for the International Festivals of Country Music at Wembley from 1969-79. He has recorded narrations for RCA Records (‘Sleeping Beauty’, 1968) and Columbia Records (‘What Is A Boy?’, 1974). In the new millennium, Kash teaches communication skills in Toronto. He has written a book on the subject, Speech Power: A Guide To Oral Communication With Clarity And Confidence.
