Moose and da Sharks, a '50s and '60s cover band, were formed by Moose Zonjic in 1972. They spent most of the decade touring North America, finally taking root in Detroit, MI. During the '80s they recorded three full-length albums and six 45s, and became the region's premiere wedding, festival, fair, reunion, retirement party, corporate event, country club function, and casino act. The group currently features "da Sharkettes," a female trio that specializes in girl group numbers and contemporary pop songs. All Media Guide editor James Christopher Monger enjoyed his first concert experience with Moose and da Sharks at the Brighton Mill Pond Gazebo in 1981.
