Artist Biography by

I began playing guitar when I was thirteen years old, mostly as a compromise with my parents (I really wanted to be a drummer). Though I was interested in heavy metal and hard rock at first (Van Halen was the popular band at the time), I gradually began expanding my listening and playing interests to include pop, blues, folk, jazz, and bluegrass. Basically, I enjoy pretty much anything with good musicianship, particularly if it includes a strong melodic hook, and I'm always listening for new sounds and original songs. With AMG I am particularly focused on Contemporary Christian Music (CCM), which I enjoy both for the message and for the diversity of styles this genre includes. When I am not practicing on my Ovation or trying to write some worthwhile lyrics, I am in training to be a clinical psychologist and work for a local psychiatric hospital.
