The group plays Colombian Cumbia, Brazilian samba, Puerto Rican plena, and local candombe. Led by former disc jockey Fabian Delgado, aka Fata, Lito Díaz, and Osvaldo Delgado, los Fatales climbed Argentinean, Chilean, and Bolivian charts in 2001.
