Taking their name from Superman's female foil, this eclectic Dutch dance music band added an umlaut to their moniker to reinstate their European origins. Led by sisters Monique and Suzanne Klemann, they were originally signed to a publishing contract in 1985 by Andre de Raaff, at that time working at Warner Brothers Records but now the head of their present label, CNR Records. They gained an international profile in 1992 with their album for Polydor Records, Precious, which featured a collaboration with Prince and entered several European Top 30s. However, they were not able to build on this impact, and had to wait until 1995 for their next major hit, "Tonight".
