Best known as a member of boy band One Direction, Liam Payne is an English singer/songwriter and pop artist who scored a number of late-2010s solo hits such as "Strip That Down" with Quavo and "For You" with Rita Ora. After years of releasing singles, he finally collected them all on his debut solo album LP1, which arrived in 2019. Hailing from Wolverhampton in the West Midlands, Payne first became involved with entertainment and the arts when he was a member of the Pink Productions Theatre Company at the age of 12, going on to develop a magnetic stage presence.
