One of Italy's foremost DJs and label entrepreneurs, Leo Young began DJing at the age of 13, and was given his own local radio show not long after. Playing old-school electro and hip-hop during the mid-'80s, Young later made his name in the clubs around Italy. By the late '80s, he had become an international name, playing in London and all over Europe, appearing beside house legends such as Derrick May, Dave Angel and Joey Beltram. After establishing his own Male Productions label, Young gained a show on Italy's biggest radio station, founded several renowned clubs in Rome and released several compilations -- including two volumes of The True Underground Sound of Rome compilation series. By 1997, he had gained his first major American deal with EFA, and released his proper debut album, Cosmic Land.
