After making both her music and film debut in 1995, Cantopop singer and actress Kelly Chen (also known as Kelly Chan) quickly became one of Asia's biggest superstars. She released her music in several languages (Cantonese, Mandarin, Japanese, English) and toured internationally, taking her stage show all the way to North America. Born in Hong Kong on September 13, 1972, Chen made her acting debut in the 1995 film Whatever Will Be, Will Be, an appearance that led to a recording contract and her debut album, Dedicated Lover, also issued in 1995. In subsequent years she released new albums annually, recording in multiple languages.
