Since the early '90s, New York City-based guitarist/singer/songwriter Jim Lampos has been releasing roots rock albums and playing shows to great local acclaim. Lampos has issued three albums: 1994's Dreamland in Flames, 1997's Innuendos of Lafayette, and 2000's Starlight Theatre (all available on the Clocwyse label). While Lampos has been known to perform solo, he plays for the most part with a backing band consisting of Chris Tedesco (violin), Greg Amani (bass), and John Feldmann (drums). Despite not being signed to a major label, Lampos has received airplay on over 200 independent radio stations and has charted on both the CMJ Americana and AAA surveys, as well as appearing on two quick installments of VH1's Midnight Minute.
