Country singer/songwriter Jennifer Brantley was born into a musical family in Florida and began piano lessons at age six. She grew up in California and Mississippi, and was first attracted to gospel music, playing and singing in church. Her first major appearance was as an opening act to the gospel artists David & the Giants at the Hanford Fox Theater in Hanford, CA, in 1995. Later switching to secular country music, she recorded her first album, On the Other Side, with the assistance of Tommy Allsup in 2001 and released it herself. In December 2001, she moved to Nashville, TN, where she began to build a following in local clubs and to place her tracks on such Internet websites as www.mp3.com and www.garageband.com. Signing to Mountainside Productions, she released her second album, Break Down, on September 4, 2007.
