Pianist Jeffrey Michael was an early learner, picking up the piano at age six and taking to it quickly. He had an ear for music, and began composing his own material without lessons or help by the age of eleven. Using his talents to get gigs at parties and weddings, he began to tour around the country and started his own independent record label. He managed to release several albums, starting with 1997's Inspirations. During this time he also scored a small independent film and caught the bug for it, deciding to utilize his talents for film composition as a long term goal.
