Jamie Hawkins is an extremely talented and innovative young man who could become one of the world's most powerful vocalists, songwriters, producers, and musicians. At the young age of 16, Hawkins worked with such gospel legends as his parents, Walter Hawkins and Tramaine Hawkins, and uncle, Edwin Hawkins. As he grew older and progressed as a producer, he achieved heights through his music that even some of the best producers have yet to obtain.
At the age of 19, Hawkins was the assistant musical director for MC Hammer's 1992 Too Legit to Quit Tour. From there, he became the musical director for Jodeci's Forever My Lady Tour. in addition to all this, he was the musical director for the extremely successful MTV Unplugged, featuring Uptown recording artists Jodeci, Mary J. Blige, Father MC, Christopher Williams, and Heavy D & the Boyz. In 1998, Hawkins served as musical director for Lauryn Hill's Miseducation Tour, and for 18 months preceding this, he was musical director for Boyz II Men. Hawkins has established new and exciting relationships with the likes of NEXT, 3rd Storee, and Sygnature.
Hawkins has consistently set his sights high and has started a career as a recording artist with Monami/Elektra Records. His first single release is the catchy "Lost My Mind." His live performances are eye-catching and have been attracting rave reviews. Hawkins is destined for an exciting future and his debut single is a fine example of quality musicianship.
