A Sicilian singer/songwriter and pianist with jazz, swing, and easy listening influences, Ivan Segreto is not unlike fellow Italian Gianmaria Testa, or even Norah Jones. His first record, Porta Vagnu, appeared in 2004 to favorable public and critical reception, and he toured as the opening act for Franco Battiato. Fidate Correnti followed in 2005. In 2006 Segreto performed at the San Remo Festival. His third album, Ampia, featuring guests Franco Battiato, Paolo Fresu, and Giovanni Sollima, was released in early 2007.
