Experimental rock outfit Health&Beauty is led by Chicago-based guitarist/songwriter Brian J. Sulpizio, also known as longtime guitarist for Ryley Walker. The project's melodic, exploratory songs take influence from pop music, free jazz, and meditative folk-rock. After making their recording debut in 2008 with It Was Almost Certainly a Small Child, Sulpizio and a shifting lineup continued to issue periodic, always unpredictable albums, including 2012's No Lady, which featured keyboardist Ben Boye, also from Walker's band. Sixth full-length No Scare marked the group's Wichita Recordings debut in 2016. A native of Defiance, Ohio, Sulpizio relocated to Chicago in 2000 and began using the name Health&Beauty in 2003.
