The full spectrum of Chinese music, ranging from traditional tunes to modern compositions, has been explored by the Guo Brothers. Despite being raised in severe poverty, the two brothers have grown up to create a sound that "The Numen Music Center" called, "just beautiful Chinese instrumental artistry". The effect of Yue Guo's Chinese flute playing and Yi Guo's playing of sheng, a hand-held mouth organ, is a unique melodic experience. The brothers' debut album, Yuan, was produced by ex-Clannad member, Pol Brennan.
