New York, USA rock duo Annie Golden and Frank Carillo can both boast of distinguished pasts in various rock genres. Guitarist, singer and songwriter Carillo had previously contributed to three major Peter Frampton albums, Winds Of Change, Frampton’s Camel and Something Happening, plus two solo collections, Rings Around The Moon and Street Of Dreams for Atlantic Records. A prolific songwriter, his credits also include songs for Joan Jett’s platinum set, Up Your Alley, and the film soundtracks Heartbreak Hotel and Prelude To A Kiss. Vocalist, actor and songwriter Annie Golden previously fronted Capitol Records’ recording artists the Shirts during the late 70s. They enjoyed one hit single in Europe, ‘Hang Up The Phone’, before Golden took up a Broadway acting career in productions of Leader Of The Pack, Dinner At Eight, Ah Wilderness and Steven Sondheim’s Assassins. She also made brief television appearances in Cheers and Miami Vice, having previously taken a role in the Hair movie. Golden and Carillo hooked up during the 90s, going on to release an album, Toxic Emotion, for Silenz Records in 1995, before setting out on a tour of Europe.
