b. 10 May 1935, Chorzów, Poland. While still in his teens Golla immigrated to Australia where his guitar playing attracted considerable attention. Late in the 50s he teamed up with Don Burrows, playing throughout Australia and also travelling worldwide gaining plaudits from critics and audiences alike. He also appeared on record with Burrows, on his acclaimed Sydney Opera House album, and with Stéphane Grappelli on Steph’ ’N’ Us. In the 90s he was still very active and took part in an acclaimed Martin Taylor set of duets, Two’s Company.
