Carrying the torch of classic American hardcore punk, California combo Fury combine socio-political lyrics with heavy breakdowns, big chunky riffs, and a melodic element that nods to the mid-'80s youth crew scene that once dominated their native Orange County. The quintet earned plenty of acclaim for their 2016 debut, Paramount, and eventually signed with respected Boston indie Run for Cover, which issued their 2019 follow-up Failed Entertainment. Vocalist Jeremy Stith, guitarists Madison Woodward and Alfredo Guiterrez, bassist Daniel Samayoa, and drummer Alex Samayoa formed Fury in 2014, quickly releasing a cassette demo on D.C. imprint Moshers Delights, followed by a five-song 7" EP called Kingdom Come on Triple-B Records.
