A fruitful collaboration between Vibracathedral Orchestra co-founder Michael Flower and American avant-garde drummer Chris Corsano, the Flower-Corsano Duo found a unique sound created by Corsano's melodic drumming and the dreamy textures of the bulbul tarang, a 17-string table instrument sometimes known as an "Indian banjo." In some ways like a dulcimer and in others like an autoharp, it proved the perfect foil for Corsano's drumming. The bubul tarang's rich drones gave Flower and Corsano an otherworldly bed for exploration that could range from quiet to cacophonous. The two toured together regularly, issuing several sessions, including their debut, Radiant Mirror, and the live The Chocolate Cities, recorded in Europe in 2009.
