German singer Felix Meyer was born in Berlin in 1975 and grew up in Bavaria and Berlin before moving to Hamburg. With his band Project Île, which featured guitarist Olaf Niebuhr and guitarist/percussionist Erik Manouz, Meyer performed as a street musician all across Europe for over 15 years before he was noticed by producer Peter Hoffmann (Tokio Hotel) in Lüneburg. Together with producer Franz Plasa, Hoffmann and Meyer recorded an album titled Von Engeln und Schweinen, which largely featured original compositions with German lyrics, in 2010. The same year, Meyer organized a street musician festival in Lüneburg, inviting performers he met during his travels through Germany. After signing with 105 Music, Meyer released his sophomore album, 2012's Erste Liebe/Letzter Tanz, which entered the German charts at number 45.
