Swindon, England's Eternal Lord formed in 2005 by ex members of The Hunt for Ida Wave and Burning Skies. A deathcore outfit that initially recorded demos for Thirty Days of Night Records, Eternal Lord would go on to sign with Golf and Ferret Records to ensure world wide distribution for their debut album. Their first two releases, the aforementioned self titled EP demo and a split with Azriel, were followed by the unwelcome news of vocalist Sam Ricketts' departure. Edward Butcher was brought in from I Killed the Prom Queen, as was bassist Nick Gardener -- who was needed to fill in a newly empty four string slot. Rounding out the line-up were founders Stuart Mackay (drums), Chris Gregory (guitar), and Shaun Zerebecki (guitar). Their first full length LP, Blessed Be This Nightmare was recorded after touring extensively in Europe and Australia, and was released early in 2008.
