Iowa-born club DJ Ra based his nickname on the mystical Egyptian theology and the belief that he was reincarnated from a past life in Egypt. Ra began spinning turntables in Miami Beach before touring the U.S. nightclub circuit, and afterwards teamed up with DJ/remixer/producer David Knapp, mostly known for the White Party series. His continuously mixed 11-track record called Circuit Sessions, Vol. 10, released in October 2001, featured over an hour of experimentation with vocals and hardcore rhythms.
