Nashville hard-rock combo the Diner Junkies was founded in 1996 by frontman Dennis Duncan, formerly of the band Sister Whiskey. Following the 1997 release of their debut LP Strange Girls, the Diner Junkies' lineup underwent a series of changes, with guitarist Christian Wojcik, bassist Tony Sell and drummer Chris Robinson backing Duncan on the group's sophomore effort, 1999's Stone's Place.
