Consisting of MC/producer Hush and MC ILL, Da Ruckus are two talented musicians that call Detroit, MI, home. Fighting for supremacy in the bustling Detroit hip-hop scene, a scene that produced major-league talent at the turn of the millennium, Da Ruckus put together a grass roots campaign to first garner respect on the local level that would parlay into national recognition. The crew caught the ear of underground Detroit label Federation Records and dropped a self-titled EP that featured a guest spot from Eminem. Their music is dark and edgy, blending E-Sham style horror-core with a backpacker mentality. Their dark style is hallmarked by cleverness, as well as the track "150 MC's" from their debut EP which boasts the names of virtually every modern rapper; an unduplicated lyrical feat.
