Winner of the 1983 Eurovision Song Contest with the ballad "Si la Vie Est Cadeau" (If Life Is a Gift), Luxembourg singer Corinne Hermes was born in France on November 11, 1961. She launched her career under the name Corinne Miller, releasing the single "La Ville ou Je Vis" in 1979. But it was Eurovision that brought her to international attention. A major hit single, "Si la Vie Est Cadeau" was followed into charts across Europe by such follow-ups as "Michael" in 1984, "SOS" in 1986, and "Dessine-Moi" in 1989. Her most recent recordings include the singles "On Vit Comme On Aime" and "S'Il N'y Avait Pas les Mots," both taken from the 2006 CD Vraie.
