This melodic UK rock ‘n’ roll quartet was formed in 1990 by former Hanoi Rocks guitarist Nasty Suicide (b. Jan Stenfors). Recruiting Alvin Gibbs (bass, ex-UK Subs), Timo Caltio (guitar) and Les Riggs (drums), they signed to China Records the following year. Debuting with Beautiful Disaster, the band lacked image and direction, and Suicide seemed uncomfortable in his dual role of guitarist and vocalist. Specializing in mid-paced rockers that relied heavily on vocal harmonies to carry the melody lines, the most distinctive cut was undoubtedly the album’s title track. Suicide later returned to a neo-Hanoi Rocks berth in Demolition 23, a new band formed with Sam Yaffa and Michael Monroe.
