Country singer Casey Lee Green began singing as a child in his church choir. Born in Midland, TX, on November 11, 1976, Green continued to follow the path of an entertainer in high school where he appeared in many musical productions. After spending time performing in San Antonio following his high school graduation, the young singer returned home, making appearances on the fair circuit and attracting the attention of a manager. Through his management, Green secured a record deal with Texas World Records and released a self-titled debut which saw members of several high-profile act's bands, including George Strait, Jerry Jeff Walker, and Joe Ely, backing him. In the Night followed and, although Green has not made noticeable inroads into the consciousness of mainstream country fans, the record, like its predecessor, was positively received and continued to build him an audience.
