I am a music publicist/writer and have worked in the industry in one way or another since high school. Prior to high school, I dreamed about music and what it would be like to work in the business some day. As a kid, I'd doodle "Bob Dylan & the Band" on my school note books, daydreaming about what it would be like to be part of Tour '74. I wouldn't have believed then that one day I'd be visiting Big Pink with Rick Danko and that The Band would list my name on their album.
I began working in a local Philadelphia record store when I was 16, and while my teenage co-workers were lunching, I was either cruising the browsers and trying to memorize all the titles and their labels and distributors, or quizzing the sales reps about their jobs.
In college, I majored in English and held various freelance writing and editing jobs, as well as a couple unpaid music internships, before landing a position with a prominent artist management firm.
After six years and lots of experience, I left Philly for New York, where I worked for two PR firms before breaking out on my own to start my company, CRW Music. In the past eight years, I have worked with many wonderful artists, including Rick Danko, Eric Andersen, the Four Bitchin' Babes, Clarence Clemons, Peter Himmelman, Darden Smith and others. Next to my family, music is the greatest love of my life.
