Brian Jackson began designing album covers in the '50s. He should not be confused with the keyboardist from bands such as Digable Planets and Get Out of Iraq Now. The designer frequently works in tandem with art director Larry Vigon. Their designs have made use of colorful combinations of line drawing and photography, judicious fuzzy registration in the name of both the arts and censorship and the bold, audacious presentation of Frank Sinatra's signature as an object d'art.
