Working under the alias Breeze, Toronto-based producer Josh Korody takes a mercurial, spontaneous, and highly collaborative approach to groove-oriented pop. Breeze's 2021 album Only Up was completely written, recorded, and mixed in just over a week, with Korody bringing in friends from Ducks Ltd., TOPS, Broken Social Scene, Moon King, and many other acts to help bring his colorful vision to life. Korody began Breeze in 2012 while already active as a member of experimental shoegaze group Beliefs. Breeze was originally conceived as a dream pop band, and the earliest songs were hazy, guitar-heavy indie rock.
