Formed in 1990, Washington, D.C.'s Branch Manager rode the Dischord train for two albums before breakup in 1997. Ron Winters (guitars and vocals), Derrick Decker (drums), and Dave Allen (bass, though not to be confused with the Gang of Four bassist of the same name) made up the band and combined their talents for a shade of post-hardcore indie rock that varied significantly from most of their label mates, taking on a wider range of influences than most of them. Their self-titled debut was released in 1995, and Anything Tribal, their second and final LP, came out two years later. Unfortunately, the band's label and locale probably stifled their ability to be known as anything more than "yet another Dischord band."
