Artist Biography by

A Canadian hard rock and heavy metal band, Betrayer -- founded by Jeff Klingbeil (vocals, guitar) and Shawn Bastien (drums, percussion) with William Lozon (guitars) and Norm Michaud (bass) -- honed their chops early on by hitting the live circuit, eventually landing a deal and releasing an EP, Shadowed Force, and a full-length, Rusted Icons. Their single "Headed for Disaster" was featured as part of a compilation included with the Canadian metal magazine, Brave Words and Bloody Knuckles. In addition to their relative success in the independent metal world, Betrayer also found themselves sharing stages with some of the bigger names in the genre, such as Iron Maiden, Dio, and Motörhead.
