This UK speed metal outfit was founded in 1983 by former Accept members Rubi Rubach (bass), Jan Kommet (guitar) and Frank Friedrich (drums). Recruiting vocalist Phil Magoo (ex-Sin City) and guitarist Akku Becher (ex-Kanaan), they finally secured a contract with Mausoleum Records after being turned down by many major labels in Germany. Killing The Night emerged in 1984 and they supported Accept throughout Europe to promote it. The album lacked energy, drive and superior songs, and compared unfavourably to Accept’s material, the yardstick by which the band were automatically judged. It failed to sell and the band disintegrated, with Rubach moving on to UDO.
