This guitarist and singer is associated with the music scene in Muskegon, MI, where he has done some independent recording. He should not be confused with several other performers with this common name, although there are similarities. The Andrew Morgan from the New Orleans jazz scene recorded in a band with his brothers in 1927; the Muskegon Andrew Morgan also played in a band with his brother, keyboardist Thomas Morgan. In both cases the recordings were eventually released on compilation sets. Muskegon Music, Vol. 1: Yours Truly, C.H. Hackley featured more than 20 local acts; C.H. Hackley, by the way, was a Muskegon philanthropist. Speaking of which, there is also a connection with the classical tenor Andrew Morgan that goes right to the heart of philanthropy: the word "pocket." The Muskegon compilation was released on the Pocket Records label, while the classical vocalist is affiliated with the Pocket Opera company.
