Anders Nelsson is a singer, songwriter, actor, and producer from Hong Kong who was active from the mid-'60s to the mid-'70s as a recording artist. Born on June 10, 1946, in Berkeley, CA, he is the son of Swedish missionaries. His family moved to Hong Kong in 1950, and he began working in the music industry there as a teenager, initially for Orbit Records. From the mid-'60s to the mid-'70s he was active as a recording artist, releasing music under a series of billings, the most successful of which was Ming, an English-language pop group associated with EMI Records from 1973 to 1976. During the 1980s he was active in the Hong Kong film industry as a composer and actor, earning a Hong Kong Film Award in 1986 for his work in the previous year's Mr. Vampire.
