Originally the five-minute B-side to "Movement," "Yr City's a Sucker" gets an extended airing here and is backed with an instrumental version. Roughly 40 seconds in, it falls into a loose-limbed midtempo groove that undergoes minor changes before fading out after nine minutes. It has all the elements you've come to expect in a DFA production, including numerous percussion geegaws and mind-altering synth effects, and it's extremely hypnotic -- as opposed to frantic dancefloor singles like "Yeah" and "Beat Connection," where it's easier to get caught up in a pure rush. Either version would make for a good addition to your alternate-reality LCD Soundsystem album, especially if placed near the end of side two.
