Citing creative, ideological, and technical differences, Icon for Hire left Tooth & Nail after the release of their eponymous sophomore outing. For their third studio long-player, the duo set up a Kickstarter fund and went the independent route, relying on the good nature of their sizeable fan base -- they managed to raise $127,000 from an initial $2,016 goal. The resulting You Can't Kill Us offers up another spirited amalgam of confessional, stadium-ready alt-rock, electro-pop, and hip-hop, and features the singles "Under the Knife" and "Demons."
