AllMusic Review by

Universal's 2014 Yacht Rock compilation, arriving a mere nine years after the debut of the popular online video series that more or less curated the genre, lives up to its moniker with a three-disc, 60-track set of smooth sailing jams from the '70s and early '80s. While the omission of Christopher Cross' "Sailing," a song in which few would argue is the genre's most representative moment, is quietly devastating, there are enough admiral hat/boat shoe classics here like "Rosanna" (Toto), "I'd Really Love to See You Tonight" (England Dan & John Ford Coley), "Baby Come Back" (Player), "Summer Breeze" (Seals & Crofts), and of course "What a Fool Believes" (the Doobie Brothers), to soundtrack a lazy evening of fondue and piña coladas.
